Top Tier Talentees is recruiting an experienced Head of Care for a full-time position within a residential care home in Devon.
This is a senior leadership role within a residential care setting, reporting directly to the Registered Care Manager. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring full compliance with UK residential care regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review care plans using PCS or similar digital care management systems
- Complete and monitor risk assessments in line with CQC requirements
- Oversee care documentation and care-related orders
- Conduct regular staff supervisions and performance reviews
- Develop and monitor follow-up action plans
- Ensure safe and compliant medication management (medication trained required)
- Support incident investigations, safeguarding, and compliance procedures
- Maintain adherence to regulatory and quality standards within residential care
- Support day-to-day operational management of the residential care service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a residential care home
- Experience using PCS or similar electronic care planning systems
- Strong knowledge of UK residential care compliance and CQC standards
- Medication trained
- Ability to lead care staff, manage investigations, and implement improvement plans
- Strong organisational and communication skills
