General Practitioners (2 positions) Brisbane - Metropolitan Australia (MM1)

Top Tier Talentees is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, doctor-led general practice in a metropolitan area of Australia. The practice is looking for two GPs to join its team and can support DPA exemptions, so internationally trained GPs can work in a city location with full Medicare access. GP couples are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role

The practice has been running for 12 years and has grown from one doctor to nine across two linked sites. You'll join with a guaranteed income while you build your patient base, paid regardless of patient volume.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive general practice care to a mixed patient base
• Managing acute presentations, chronic disease and preventive health
• Working with the wider clinical team across both sites
• Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with Medicare and practice standards

Person Specification

• GPs eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway:
• UK: MRCGP with CCT (MRCGP International is not eligible)
• Ireland: MICGP with CSCST
• New Zealand: FRNZCGP
• Fellowed GPs (FRACGP or FACRRM) already in Australia are also welcome
• GPs in the final 12 months of their moratorium can start on a locum basis across both sites, six months at each, until the moratorium ends
• GP couples: a spouse or partner can apply to work under the same exemption

What's on Offer

• Guaranteed hourly income while you build your patient base. The rate and the guarantee length are flexible:
• Relocating from overseas: around $160 per hour, guaranteed for around 7 months
• Australian-based VR GPs: around $175 per hour, guaranteed for 3 months
• An indicative guaranteed floor of around $24,000 to $25,000 per month
• $10,000 retention bonus after 12 months for fellowed GPs
• GP couples: a $25,000 package, with part paid upfront towards relocation and the balance after 12 months
• Sponsorship approval costs covered by the practice. Doctors cover their own visa application cost.
• Supervision from an experienced RACGP-approved supervisor
