About the role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Nursing Home Manager / Registered Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day management of a 24-bed nursing home in Dorset.

Key Requirements

NMC registered
CQC registered as a Registered Manager
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management capacity within a nursing home or relevant healthcare setting
RMA or equivalent qualification
Care of the Elderly qualification desirable but not essential
Proven leadership and change management experience
Experience working with CQC, Local Authorities and social care
Strong knowledge of care quality, governance and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication, organisational and people-management skills

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of the nursing home
Provide strong leadership across care and support teams
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
Oversee audits, quality assurance, governance, incidents and complaints
Monitor staffing levels, recruitment, retention and staff development
Manage budgets, occupancy and operational performance
Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care
Work closely with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, CQC and other external stakeholders
Lead quality improvement and change management initiatives
Promote a positive, open and inclusive management culture
